Some great pics submitted by War Eagle's Pierre de Ruelle, who recently spent the summer putting War Eagle through her paces on the Newfoundland race circuit.

Good luck with the rennovations, Pierre -- please keep us posted on your improvements!
The Serendipity 43 was designed by Doug Peterson to compete in the 1980 Southern Ocean Racing Conference (SORC). These yachts were built by New Orleans Marine of a new epoxy composite. The design was strengthened by airex filled horizontal and vertical ribs in addition to seven 360 degree bulkheads. This design is noted for its light weight, strength, flexibility and double digit speed. *** Much of the content in this blog is from people who have experience with these amazing boats.

Having done the same thing in a Swan 36 "Banjaard" (OSTAR 2009) it takes four years to prepare, so good luck!
BEING PART OF THE ORIGINAL CREW OF
THE 'GIRL' I WILL TELL YOU THAT WE HAD OUR BEST YEAR WITH HER IN OUR
THIRD YEAR. POLTER GHOST.
I expect Pierre with his plans for the race this coming summer will be the beginning of the real test and knowing the many challenges of Offshore racing with a good solid boat he should have no concerns
I wish him the best of luck
