The Serendipity 43 was designed by Doug Peterson to compete in the 1980 Southern Ocean Racing Conference (SORC). These yachts were built by New Orleans Marine of a new epoxy composite. The design was strengthened by airex filled horizontal and vertical ribs in addition to seven 360 degree bulkheads. This design is noted for its light weight, strength, flexibility and double digit speed. *** Much of the content in this blog is from people who have experience with these amazing boats.

I raced on War Eagle for a few years in the late 1990's. From the photos she looks well kept. I hope her new owner enjoys her as much as we did.
thanks

She is a boat which will require many upgrades for Ocean sailing. Much of her equipment is orginal and the replacement item are not that of Ocean grade
I know Pierre will work hard to make the transition.
